We regularly meet with our developers and vendors to ensure that all our clients' requirements can be fulfilled. We also visit all the developments prior to their commencement and during the building process in order to inspect the location.

The Team

Steve Smith-Howes and his wife Wendy Smith-Howes decided there must be more to life than working 5/6 days a week, 12 hour days, living for the weekend. Both had very successful careers in the Recruitment Industry earning very good salaries living in a lovely village, four bed detached property with two sports cars on the drive and a motorbike in the garage. Members of David Lloyd Health Club together with having a great bunch of friends, you would have thought everything was perfect. However there was something missing. We were in the rat race!!

Steve’s parents had already retired to Spain so Steve & Wendy were able to get cheap flights for the weekend and experience life in a foreign country and the benefits it had to offer. It didn’t take long to convince them they could live a better quality of life else where. They put their property on the market which sold within two weeks, jumped on a plane and found their dream home. Oh by the way they also found out that Wendy was pregnant. Timing!!!!!!!!!

The move wasn’t easy and had quite a few complications of which Steve or Wendy will explain in more detail when they hopefully meet you.

What they will say, is moving abroad has its own challenges. First and foremost make sure you have a cash buffer. If you are looking to set up a business in Spain or be employed then finding work isn’t as easy as it may seem. When purchasing a property always use an independent solicitor. Finally always allow for Spanish time, Manana, Manana!!

Steve and Wendy have lived in Spain now for three years; have a two and a half year old son Bradleigh who speaks both Spanish and English. They have a great social life and enjoy nothing better than going to the beach on Sundays which is regarded in Spain as Family Day.

Bob Howes was Financial & Commercial Director for a Party and Giftware Company for over 20 years again located in Milton Keynes. Bob decided to take early retirement and move to Spain after seeing Steve and Wendy relocate with his then to be born grandson. His vision was to have a very chilled out lifestyle drinking cocktails by the pool. Steve had another vision for him to be a partner in the business!! Bob now heads up the Financial Division of lemon grove villas and has established excellent relationships with the local banks, currency agencies and financial advisors. He will admit he has met more people and made more friends since moving to Spain than he ever did back in the UK. By the way his favourite cocktail is Singapore Sling.

Gillian Loftus, commonly known as Julia because the Spanish cannot pronounce Gillian! Julia was originally from York and has now lived in Spain for over 20 years. She has two sons Carlos and Mario who again are both fluent in Spanish and English. She is very popular in the village and has excellent relationships with the Heads of the local schools and some key individuals in the local Town Halls. Julia is integral to the success of lemon grove villas as she is the main point of contact between the Spanish Developers and our Clients. Her main area of focus is pre and after sales. Her commitment to her clients, you the customer is unquestionable and her standards are well recognized by the local developers.
